Lynsey Steiner is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of
Illinois .
She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Butler University and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois.
Lynsey is a member of
AACC, the
Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association, and the
Illinois Counseling Association.
She has been designated as a Certified Anger Management Specialist-1 by the National Anger Management Association.
Lynsey has trained and supervised counseling interns developing their skills in the field.
In graduate school, Lynsey studied theology and
Counseling Psychology from a Christian worldview at
Trinity Evangelical Divinity School .
She believes in the integration of psychology and theology and has a passion to guide people towards a biblical view of God

ife’s many challenges –Lynsey seeks to help people find comfort in Jesus and learn practical skills to meet the challenges. She is convinced that lives are truly changed through a growing relationship with Christ and provides guidance for people wanting to experience life in Christ and a deeper walk with Him.
Lynsey recognizes the importance of the family unit and thus, explores with clients and couples effective ways to build family unity, resolve conflict and work towards healing. Lynsey has counseled couples, families, women, and adolescents with a variety of issues including: family and marital conflict, depression, anger management, divorce, stress, substance abuse, self-esteem, sexual abuse, and anxiety.
In addition, she has spent the last several years counseling women regarding unresolved grief and loss issues, making healthy life choices, and developing a wholesome view of their sexuality.
Lynsey’s work has included speaking to school groups and churches in the Chicago-land area, and leading seminars about adolescent parenting issues such as: development, appropriate consequences, anger management, depression, high-risk behavior, and substance abuse.
She has also presented popular seminars to college-age women on healthy sexuality.
Lynsey is active in her church. Serving in past years as a mentor and teacher to college students, currently she’s helping to manage church-based programs that serve
children and their families.
She and her husband live in the
Chicago area and have one son.
She enjoys the outdoors, bike riding, spending time with her family, and good coffee.
