Steve Yeschek is a Licensed Clinical Social worker in the State of Illinois with a Master's Degree in Social Work from Tulane University School of Social Work, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin. Steve worked 7 years as the Director of the Chicago-based Rapha Treatment Center and has been practicing counseling for over 20 years. He is presently the Associate Pastor of LifeCARE Ministries overseeing support groups, Celebrate Recovery and lay counseling at the First Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake in Illinois. Steve is a seasoned Christian therapist counseling couples, families and individuals dealing with addictions, men's issues and sexual addictions, depression, anxiety, marriage and family problems. Steve is a Certified Anger Management Specialist-IV, Diplomate, Supervisor and Consultant with the National Anger Management Association and a co-presenter of the Anger Management Trainer-Specialist Workshops.

Steve holds membership with the NASW, CAPS and AACC professional counseling organizations. Steve has presented various seminars and classes on crisis counseling & referral, substance abuse, self-worth, shame, codependency, marriage, family, personal growth and relationship topics to Rapha, Greater Chicagoland Sunday School Association, Cook County Employee Assistance Program, Channel 38 counselors and various other groups and organizations over the years.
Steve and his wife, Nancy, have 6 children: Kirsten, Steven, Joel, Grant, Joseph and Patrick. It is Steve's desire to grow in the knowledge of the grace of God and the Lord Jesus Christ and share his faith and hope with those who are hurting, lost or downcast. Steve writes: "With LifeCARE Ministries.....We started an Overcomers Outreach addictions program at the Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake and it is going wonderfully with people finding help and hope. Lay Counselors are continuing to be a tremendous asset to the church with more people coming forward for help and healing. Our future plans are to have a Faithful and True Sexual Purity Support Group, and Anger Support Group. Our prayer and hope that the LifeCARE groups will be used as an outreach to the surrounding communities in ever increasing ways." Steve and Nancy currently run a couples group.
